Allright, guys, the game was amazing and I couldn't have hoped for a better finale. I am especially amazed at how everyone really strove to attend the game and give their all: Brent was sick and had a railing cough; Dave was there playing for 3 hours after he said he'd have to stop to study for his final in the morning; Weston missed half of the game and still hauled ass over to have a super-dramatic finish. I'm not sure about Jenna, but I'm sure she had to fight zombies or something on her way over. You guys are super and I am proud.
The game itself was extremely dramatic, and a lot of stuff started happening that we decided we'd have to bring up here on the blog. First of all, I'd like to mention that I don't intend for the season 1 finale to be the end of the game. So long as Brent and I are able to coordinate some kind of online something or other, it'll continue to live on. Last night he and I were talking on Skype chat just fine despite his connection being SIUE dial-up, so I am hopeful.
Right, quite a list. First of all, there are people whose beliefs need to change. Jack had one or two we thought might need to be modified, as well as the Duchess and Count Tristam, if I remember correctly. Father Gregory, also. Wow, I guess that's everyone! Amazing. I don't remember the exact Beliefs that were changing, so whomever had one that they had considered, throw it out here. I'll probably drop a post later just to go through each character's sheet to reexamine their beliefs.
What else was there, though? We need to finish writing up Anna, but that's the only other point of business I recall. I get the feeling that I'm forgetting a lot, though, because honestly I was falling asleep at the wheel on the way home. Hey, sometimes it happens.
Hey, I just want to say that this game was extra, extra dramatic. I don't think I've played with any group who is this excited about just getting down to raw characterization, and it is brilliant. However, I'm left with glowing curiosity about what direction the characters will move in now that they've broken out of their molds in so many Artha-producing way? Brent mentioned that Jack is going to become more revenge-minded; this is the sort of thing I'm talking about. Also, how hard does everyone think it should be for Count Tristam to become Marquess? It'll definitely make it harder for him to chill with the Green Men at all, so his promotion would have to mark a radical shift in the scope of the game. Who knows how long the Green Men are even going to be around, though? It could be that they no longer hold with the goals Jack has in mind.
Lastly, I don't know how long it's even going to be before we have another game. I'm sure that everyone's going to be busy over break, since Dave is going to be gone for a chunk of it, and Brent has to get settled in at his new home before we even start testing out different ways to connect. But, even without any games, I know that at least Brent and I will be on here talking about Circles tests.

Listen, since these song choices are going to be around a while, I thought I'd give everyone a say in them. Here's my thoughts for the characters in no particular order(if you have any suggestions feel free to toss them out)
The Duchess
I Can't Make Me Love You
Today's the Day
Over My Head
Jack
Seven Nation Army
Flames
Full of Grace
Father Gregory
Chop Suey??
Tristam
Cream and Bastards Rise
Time of the Season
I also unilaterally decided that the demon Niyaz's theme should be Maximum Carnage by Green Jelly. So, uh, live with that I suppose. ^_^
Chop Suey is an excellent choice for Father Gregory, imo.
I've never really jumped onto the theme song bandwagon, though. I just have trouble tying songs to characters.
What I always ask myself is "If there was a montage about the character's actions/situation in the last game, what would the music be?"
That usually helps me conceptually.
I don't see any songs present that represent Jack's montage of killing guards repeatedly. :P
You don't see that in Seven Nation Army? Well that's why I invited everyone to toss out their suggestions!
I am in favor of all the suggested themes. We need a soundtrack. Mixed CD time!
As for topics-to-discuss, I don't recall mine off-hand because I haven't got my character sheet on me, and I can't be bothered to look at the Duchess's site to refresh me. But that's just delaying gratification, no?
Your issue was with your "hide before battle" instinct, IIRC.
I'm tragically not in alignment with Chop Suey for Father Greg for, I dunno, a couple of reasons I'm not sure I wanna bother to articulate at the moment.
Maybe I'll get into it in a bit. I guess I can try to work up a very small Greg discography, though.
Uh, I'm not linking songs right now. But. Anyhow. Since we're combing through some songs and I've got it on my mind, I thought I might be able to tag Jack with NIN's "In This Twilight" which might be metaphorically applicable.
I myself thought to apply "The Warning" from the same album to Gregory. I like cohesiveness. Which I guess is ok, since I think Jack and Gregory are the same genre. >.>
Oh, I'm posting now. btw.
Ah, Mr. Mocabee! How wonderful to see you, now that the season finale has occurred and is now gone. XD Worry not, we'll work out season two somehow.
