Another super game. I was a little fried from not having gotten much sleep, so I was afraid it would turn out differently, but Burning Wheel really is impossible not to enjoy. I don't know how that could ever happen!
Anyway, I'm still tired, so I won't mince words (though I dearly love to mince words.) There are several topics up for discussion!
First of all, the Duchess of Bath needs a new Belief. Before she had a Belief saying that she would escape from her arranged marriage with Gerard, which she pretty much has. It's possible that she is still not entirely free of Gerard's power structure, but really holding on to that belief at this point would be dead weight. So, a new and better Belief is in order!
Secondly, the Duchess' new trait, Free Bird, has yet to be defined. Whether it be a character trait, a call-on trait, or a die trait, and to what extent it will be advanced, also ought to be determined. Mostly I'm looking for Brent's input on this one. Because, well, he has the books. XP
The only other thing I can think of is the burning of the new sheriff. He probably has a different title than Sheriff, which I'll figure out later. Anyway, he needs a name and some really ugly BITs. Since the Die of Fate determined that in some regard some part of him is infected with demonic influence, I think we'll have some crazy good times with those. I'll probably make another post just for him in a bit; maybe when I figure his name out. Brent, let's see those sexy, sexy lifepaths.
If there's anything I left out, be sure to say!

I don't know what sort of daemon is possessing him yet, but here's my tentative sketch of the sherrif.
Looks good to me so far... I do like the choice of lifepaths. As far as the stats go, I might want to bump down his speed by one and put it in forte. I'm curious about his traits... are most of those character traits?
Sick, Lazy Eye, Merciless, Predatory and Prominent Scar are character traits. Everything else has a game effect, so they're actually half and half. I know Cold-blooded and Cold-hearted both reduce hesitation related to violence. Iron Stomach is a call-on or something related to resisting poison and disease. Sea legs eliminates some check related to balance onboard ships.
I updated the sheet to match your suggestion re: stats. I agree that it does probably fit better.
Some thoughts on freebird: adds +1D to speed when Running and Screaming, call-on for mimicry.
Heh. With traits like that, a B5 will and a B7 steel, this guy won't even flinch. Good, good. I like Iron Stomach too; it's probably been more than once that someone has tried to poison this guy.
As for adding +1D during Run and Scream, I dunno. Can you actually make any rolls involving dice while you're hesitating? If so, I like that, I just don't want to throw in an extra die in a situation where it can't be used. Otherwise, maybe a bonus to escaping Locks?
Being a call-on for mimicry is hilarious, btw.
Hey, you don't have the Duchess of Bath's character sheet, do you? That's the only core character we've yet to add on the main page.
I don't, in fact. The Jenna forgot to leave it (probably because of the dragonstar game afterwards). As for the bonus, you're correct that you can't take any actions, but Run Screaming forces you to Withdraw every volley that you're hesitating during. I just re-checked the rules for it, and it may be more useful for the trait to allow the Duchess to immediately Run Screaming instead of waiting for the next volley but I figured it was simpler to just give her a bonus die.
Well, you do have to make positioning tests to Withdraw, so I'll say that +1D to that would be pretty cool.
Awesome!
If Jenna doesn't pop onto the Burning Bridges blog, then we can go ahead and iron out her new third belief before we get going next Monday. Other than that, I think I'm going to make a new post for the BITs of the sheriff. Cool?
Sounds good to me. You want I should make a character page for him like I did for all the PCs?
The Sheriff? Yeah, sure, I'll stick him up with Jester Tom. I have no effin' clue who we'll cast him as, though. XD
