When it was suggested that the Sergeant Pike might be possessed, out came the die of fate. Thusly we now have a daemonically corrupted minor villain on our hands. Exciting? Yes! However, this daemon possessing him needs his BITs.
A daemon's generic beliefs are:
We are Righteous; dissent is no crime.
We will be avenged.
Men are fools, and are to be used.
Now, I don't see any reason why these can't be modified to better fit the bill. And, that doesn't say anything about his instincts. As far as those go, Brent, exactly how much influence does a possessing daemon have over his host? The extent to which he can influence Roger would alter how I would word his instincts.

I figured one of the new Beliefs could coincide with Roger's possession. Something like, "Hiding within this man's flesh I will work to create a Hell on earth." Otherwise, I'm not sure. Should we come up with some gritty backstory about how Roger was possessed? I probably will anyway. XD
The exact wording of the Possessed trait is as follows:
"Choose one appropriate trait to be made manifest through the human vessel from the daemon/seraph list in the Monster Burner. I recommend that Lawbreaker come along with any and all choices, but it's not required. Once the nature of the possession is determined, the player and the GM need to devise a separate set of Beliefs and Instincts for the possessing spirit. When these come into conflict with the character's own BITs, a versus Will test must be made -- the spirit against the character. Use the appropriate Will from the stat blocks in the Monster Burner. Whoever wins the test can enact his Belief or Instinct."
The rest of the text discusses how the trait interacts with Aura Sight and Exorcism.
To get the ball rolling on Instincts, how's this for the daemon. "Always devour those I kill by my own hand"
I like the idea of Roger's Daemon being from the Host of Gluttony. I don't know why your image of people-eating is so fixed in my mind, but it is.
The default traits from the MoBu are:
Lawbreaker, Iron Hide, Doppelganger, Immortal, Slashing Claws, Named, Celestial Sight, The Tongue, Membranous Wings, Spirit Nature, Gift of Babel, Aura of Fear, Daemon's Skin, Misshapen and Resistant to Fire
I would suggest that we replace Slashing Claws with Crushing Jaws, Membranous Wings with Vestigial Wings, and adding the Devourer die trait and the Corpulent character trait. I'm picturing something along the lines of this.
for the daemon's corporeal form. Although it won't have access to that, it paints as good a picture as the traits I picked out.
As for Instincts, I think one should be, simply, "Consume."
Re: your instinct - I do like that one, and it breaks the rules less than mine.
"We will consume this world until there is nothing left."
Maybe Pike should have the character trait "Always Hungry"
I did in my second post. Everything else I'm pulling from the back of MoBu and that's waaaay too big to list in it's entirety.
Allright, allright. Maybe we can do that on Saturday. Other beliefs?
"Men are delicious, and are to be used"
XD Excellent, I approve.
When I made that post earlier, it was because I had somehow overlooked your post where you copied all the Daemon traits.
Well, which one do you think would best fit Roger? The host gets to make use of one of his possessor's traits, right?
Quick Recap:
Beliefs
-------
1) Hiding within this man's flesh I will work to create a Hell on Earth.
2) Men are delicious, and are to be used.
3) We will consume this world until there is nothing left.
Instincts
---------
1) Always devour those I kill by my own hand.
2) ???
3) ???
The generic daemon instincts are:
"Always use The Tongue."
"Always appear as another."
"Always offer to be bound in chains as a show of good faith."
None of which I think are entirely applicable in this case.
A fun one that would come in conflict with the Sergeant could be, "Always kill with my jaws." It's a lot like the other one, but I figure this daemon is pretty brutal.
I like it.
